ABOUT ADAM STEINHARDT
Adam Steinhardt is an experienced sports podiatrist who has a special interest in sports injuries. He has a passion for foot and ankle musculoskeletal diagnosis and management. He has had previous involvement with the Melbourne Football Club and currently provides podiatry for many of the local Eastern football league clubs.
Adam has a special interest in plantar fasciitis heel pain and implements Radial Shockwave therapy as part of his overall treatment. He also conducts biomechanical screening and treadmill video gait analysis as part of his assessment. Adam prescribes custom foot orthotics for your feet and these can be made out of a variety of materials. Adam also has extensive knowledge of all athletic footwear as he spent many years involved at a technical running footwear store.
Adam can also provide general podiatry footcare, diabetes assessment and nail surgery.
Adam provides podiatry services for private patients (no referral needed), Medicare Enhanced primary care plans, Veterans affairs, TAC and workcover.

Plantar Fasciitis and Shockwave Therapy
Adam Steinhardt has successfully treated hundreds of cases of chronic and debilitating heel pain. The most important first step is accurate diagnosis by Adam via clinical assessment and imaging. Shockwave therapy incorporation with stretching, footwear advice, massage and taping is proving to be very effective.
Shockwave therapy is the delivery of high intensity ultrasound to the painful heel or Achilles tendon. This provides an immediate reduction in pain and long term promotes healing of the tissues. Each treatment takes only a few minutes and as little as three to five applications are required to the injury site.​

Biomechanical/Video Gait analysis and Orthotic Treatment

Conducting a thorough biomechanical assessment including video gait analysis is a crucial part of this.

Adam Steinhardt is experienced in children’s podiatry. The growth and development of your children’s feet is important to us, so as a parent you can be confident that their feet are in good hands.
Following a thorough consultation, I can assess, diagnose and treat problems like flat feet, pigeon toes, Sever’s and toe walking, as well as determine the reasons for pain in any part of your child’s foot or ankle. It may as simple as recommending the correct footwear for your child.
Prolotherapy
If you have tried conservative treatment methods and are not progressing, you may like to consider Prolotherapy Injection Therapy to help accelerate healing of damaged tissue.
Prolotherapy is an injection of a glucose and local anaesthetic solution to help speed up the healing process. The solution will assist in the reduction of inflammatory markers and laying down of new connective tissue in an injured area.
